The Gathering 2026

Who You Might Meet
A Vampire Wedding will bring vampires and creatures from across the globe. Here is a quick guide to some of the individuals you might meet at The Gathering.

Eosphorous - your MC for the evening
Historical records suggest that Eosphorous was first summoned in 48 BC. Flames from the rift may have been the cause of the fire in the Library of Alexandria. When the Council meets, Eosphorous is summoned to oversee as he holds no allegiances to any particular house and truly does not care what the Vampires do.
Council

The Librarian
No scholar is sure what the Librarian is - demon, ghost, an illusion. She is inexplicitly pictured in images of libraries throughout history, and there are even examples of ancient cave paintings that appear to be her. She is never invited to Council Meetings, but somehow: she has always been there.
Council

George Feversham, Lord Brightwell
Lord Brightwell married and was sired by Lady Brightwell in 1665. By the 18th Century, the Brightwells were a power couple in European courts and heavily involved in the excesses of the time. During the Răscoala, Lord Brightwell was one of several vampires that relished in the bloodshed of battle against humans for sport. His flamboyance is a mask to hide his conniving, barbaric sensibilities.
Brightwell

Theophania Feversham, Lady Brightwell
The Lady Brightwell is the head of House Brightwell, with the line passing to her in 1642. Guests arriving to her wedding on ships in 1665 may have caused the outbreak of plague in this year. She is responsible for the Brightwells's current position on the Council - having pioneered vampiric colonies in the new world and is as malicious as her husband. Do not let her beauty and gold teeth fool you.
Brightwell

Sgt Charcutier
The boisterous Charcutier started life as a soldier in Napoleon's Grand Armee. On a mission to turn Napoleon before Waterloo, the Brightwells overslept after the Duchess of Richmond's famous ball just before the battle. Arriving late, the Brightwells treated the battlefield as a buffet and turned the dying Charcutier as a result.
Brightwell

Madam Valerian
Madam Valerian comes from the line of witches the Brightwells established in the Americas. She may well be related to the witch of Sleepy Hollow. Touring the Americas in the 1800's, Charcutier fell in love and married her, bringing Madam Valerian into House Brightwell.
Brightwell

Baron Vito Polidores
The Baron emerged from Venice sometime in the 1800s to become the undisputed leader of Clan Caligar. This House is descended from the brother of Dracula and chose early to ally with him. The Baron is largely disinterested in the Council and focusses instead on his work shepherding the dead and guarding the crypts under the earth. Respected by all Council members, the Baron harbours an unrequited flame for the Lady Orloff.
Caligars

House Caligar
The Caligars are a loose collective of vampires and creatures uninterested in the politics of the Council, so the Baron's retinue changes frequently. You can always expect to see Cookie (the Baron's Crypt Keeper), the Nun and Shonketti, the Baron's mostly human servant.
Caligars

Esfer Sutherland
Esfer took control of and unified the Sutherlanders in the 1990's. Previously, vampires in this clan, born from genetic experiments were unruly. Taking the name Sutherland in honour of his position, Esfer has been on a mission to get the Sutherlanders accepted by the rest of the Council. His marriage to the traditional minded Lady Orloff is a huge shock the Vampire world.
Sutherlanders

Dracula
Dracula is the Father of all vampire kind (except the Caligars). One of five entities that were awoken during the First Crusade, Dracula embarked on a bloody civil war ending in his ruling supreme amongst vampires. In 2025 he was killed, causing last year's Gathering to elect a new leader.
Draculs

Countess Evelyn Bathory and Count Viktor Haarka
Evelyn Bathory is the rumoured daughter of Dracula - born from a unity between him and the first Countess Bathory when both needed an heir. She is often escorted by her consort, Count Haarka, a Bavarian noble who was turned by Bathory. Evelyn disappeared after Dracula was killed and has not been seen since.
Bathory

Bastian and Ysebeau
Bastian and Ysebeau were favourites of the Brightwells, who picked them up and turned them during their party tours of Europe in prior to the French Revolution. They adore a party, and are often used as organisers. Rumour is that they are responsible for planning the wedding of Lady Orloff.
