What Do I Do?

If you are new to immersive events, or want to know what to expect, read below.

The Gathering 2026 is an immersive event - as soon as you enter the Natural History Museum you will be in the world of the Great Vampiric Council. We will have several characters portraying vampires, odd individuals and more in the Museum who are happy to talk to you, interact with you and add to your immersion into the world of The Gathering. Like all immersive events, how much you want to play along is entirely up to you! To make the most of your time at The Gathering, it is strongly encouraged you lean into the world as much as you are comfortable with.

During the evening there will also be a number of set piece shows taking place which you are welcome to view. There will be a roped off area marking the stage. Note that during these shows, there may be loud bangs, noises, and fighting.

You can also take part in several dance sessions. Our House Band, and our Caller, will teach you how to dance large group historical dances in the main hall. You do not have to book a space for these - when you want to join in please do.

Some Rules and Guidance

Please remember that this is just a show, and our performers are people doing performances. Please do not touch them without their consent. Any abusive or inappropriate conduct to our team, or to other attendees could result in your being expelled from the venue.
Please treat the amazing Natural History Museum with respect. Do not touch or damage the exhibits.
Do not cross any roped off, or closed areas of the Museum. This is for your safety.
Our performers and crew will all be wearing badges so that you can easily spot them. There will also be a number of staff from the Natural History Museum on site wearing badges. If you have any concerns, need to raise an issue, or anything else: please do not hesitate to let somebody know. All of our staff will be happy to help you.

All that said - this event is designed to be a fun party on Halloween in an amazing venue. However you choose to dive into the world of The Gathering is up to you, and we hope you have a brilliant time.
